Enrollment Information

El Centro de Estudiantes is an alternative high school that accepts students who want to get back on track and graduate within three years or less. We're thrilled you're interested in enrolling with us! Read on to learn more about the enrollment process and other helpful information.

Enrollment Criteria

In order to be considered for admission, students must first meet the following criteria:
  • Be between the ages of 16 and 21
  • Have earned 13.5 or fewer credits

Enrollment Process

There are several steps to the enrollment process at El Centro de Estudiantes.

Step 1: Submit a completed application to the school.

Step 2: Provide any necessary documentation or paperwork as detailed by someone from our front office staff.

Step 3: Attend el Centro orientation. If a student is late, leaves early, or misses any of the orientation days, they will be asked to come to the next orientation.

Transportation

All students who are enrolled at el Centro de Estudiantes and live 1.5 miles away from the school will receive a SEPTA Transpass. All students who do not qualify for a SEPTA Transpass will receive a Key Card to travel to and from their internship sites on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Re-Enrollment

When students leave el Centro de Estudiantes, they must complete a re-admission form if they want to return. Students then meet with a counselor to help them determine if they are ready to return to the school. Students who return within one year will not have to go through orientation again.
