El Centro de Estudiantes is an alternative high school that accepts students who want to get back on track and graduate within three years or less. In order to be considered for admission, students must first meet the following criteria:
  1. Be between the ages of 16 and 21
  2. Be over-aged and under-credited
  3. Have earned 13.5 or less credits

The Enrollment Process

There are several steps to the enrollment process at El Centro de Estudiantes.

Step 1:
Submit a completed application to the school. Click here for the application form.

Step 2:
Attend a scheduled open house where El Centro staff meet with interested students.

Step 3:
Attend El Centro Orientation which lasts from 3-4 days from 9:00 to 12:00. On the first day, parents/guardians must attend. If a student is late, leaves early, or misses any of the orientation days, they will be asked to come to the next orientation.

During the orientation period, students are asked to assess whether or not, El Centro is the best school for them to attend. Counselors meet with students to determine any needs or concerns students may have. On the last day of the orientation process, all students are given a letter of acceptance.

Note: transportation, breakfast, and lunch are not provided during the orientation days.
